Growing up on a farm...I have to say the farmer. 😒

@LilPrincess they are def essential

@Lilymoon But a refrigerator at a grocery store can give me anything a farmer can.
Lilymoon · F
@SinlessOnslaught also pizza 😄
LeopoldBloom · M
@LilPrincess Farmers or farm workers?
LilPrincess · 46-50, F
@LeopoldBloom all the farmers I personally know are all family based and don't hire outside workers. So I still stand by my statement of farmers 😒
LeopoldBloom · M
@LilPrincess Those must be very small farms. All of the ones around here have to hire laborers, either local people or H-2A. Or they use contractors.
LilPrincess · 46-50, F
@LeopoldBloom not small at all. You work sun up to sun down

@LilPrincess There's only so much one family can do.
Are these farms where they're growing grains and using combine harvesters and other machinery? The farms I'm talking about are all hand harvest vegetable farms. You can't do that with just a few people. So they have to bring in sometimes hundreds of workers.

@LeopoldBloom this is exhausting...why do you want to sit and argue with me about a damn farms that I see day in and day out and have friends and family that do it day in and day out.
I don't see you questioning anyone else...did you just decide to pick the weakest link here(me) to go after.
I'm done...

@LilPrincess I'm not arguing, I'm aware that there are small family farms. But I live in Georgia and our biggest industry here is agriculture and I work with farmers, so I have a pretty good idea of how the farms here operate. They couldn't survive without outside labor.
