@Lust4Life Well let's see, in the last eight years, there's been several thousand Palestinians killed, well over 80% of them noncombatants. Meanwhile, there's been about 40 Israelis killed, with 27 of them being soldiers.

But what the fuck, when you're either completely ignored by the international community or you're actively told to get lost and just die, where else do you turn but primitive and stupid acts of violence.

@BlueMetalChick Ironically, if Hamas disarmed, Israel would lift the blockade. If Israel disarmed, they'd be obliterated. Israel forcibly removed every Jewish settler from Gaza in 2005, and didn't impose the blockade for two years. If the Gaza leadership had invested in hotels instead of tunnels, they'd be a beach resort today. But that wasn't an option for them as long as Jews exist.

You're assuming that Hamas is fighting in good faith. Their leaders live like kings in the UAE and those "bunk ass rockets" cost $45,000 each. This is not an indigenous uprising, it's a proxy war.

They can't invest in beach hotels. They're not even allowed to connect their own buildings to a municipal water supply or the power grid. If they install solar panels, they're taken away. You're gonna make a beach hotel with no running water and no electricity?

Israel pulled every Jewish settler out of Gaza in 2005 and withdrew its military. The blockade wasn't imposed until two years later. Instead of development, they focused on building tunnels and rockets to continue their quest for a judenrein Middle East. The Palestinians deserve to live in peace, but so do the Israelis.

It's impossible to focus on development if you're not allowed to do things like access a public water supply or power grid. What are you gonna develop? Beach bungalows?
