The Israelis, as Jews, will NEVER let this happen again, and instead of unfriendly Europeans all around them then they have unfriendly Arabs and Muslims....
I'm not Jewish, I'm Christian, and my Lord Jesus was born a Jew, so I feel with reflection we can see why the Israelis might seem heavy handed.

@canusernamebemyusername That's just where you're wrong! They are defending the paradise they made out of the desert that the Arabs couldn't be bothered to make! The Muslims are just after the wealth in Israel, after all look at the history, between 1890 and 1935 the Arabs were happy selling land to the Jews, it was only when they saw Jewish ingenuity that they started to get upset!

Israel's military campaign has over 80% collateral damage. Four out of every five people killed are civilians. That's "defending a paradise?" What kind of paradise is murdering innocent people?

@LeopoldBloom Two years ago, Hamas offered to completely halt aggression towards Israel if they were allowed to return to the 1968 borders. In short, if Israel stopped the occupation of the West Bank, they'd stop trying to hurt people. If even Hamas, the most extreme Palestinian militant group, offers that, but you ignore it and say no because you wanna keep occupying land and killing people, it becomes very, very obvious who the aggressor is.
Of course they're not very good at it. They have no manpower, no firepower, no funding, no training, and no resources. Even if they're insane hateful pieces of shit - [i]and they are[/i] - how does their existence justify what's happening right now? This is comparable to if Russia were to indiscriminately bomb the entire United States just because the KKK exists and they wanna kill all people who aren't White Christians.
@Moon3624 Hamas IS a terrorist organization, but that's just the thing. Israel is not trying to kill terrorists, they're trying to kill anyone who is Palestinian. Don't take MY word for it, take Israel's word for it. Ayalet Shaked said herself, "The Palestinian people have declared war on us, and we must respond with war. Not an operation, not a slow moving one, not low intensity, not controlled escalation, no destruction of terror infrastructure, not targeted killings. Even with the oblique references, this is a war. What is so horrifying about understanding that the entire Palestinian people is the enemy? The whole people is the enemy."
So there it is. "No destruction of terror infrastructure, not targeted killings." That means no looking specifically for Hamas people. If they're Palestinian, they're fair game no matter who they are or what they're doing.

@BlueMetalChick It wasn’t an offer made in good faith. Hamas has no say in the West Bank and hates the PA almost as much as they hate Israel.
Israel removed every Jewish settler from Gaza, and didn’t start the blockade until two years later. Instead of development, Hamas expends resources on rockets and tunnels. The goal is to provoke an Israeli response and inflame internal outrage, which they’ve been very successful at.
Where do you get that Hamas has no funding? Someone is paying for those tunnels and rockets.
If the KKK was embedded in civilian populations, obviously bombing them would kill many civilians. Hence it’s a war crime to install military facilities in civilian areas.

I said that Hamas is a terrorist organization because I agree with you, and I'm stating that even if others focus on the fact that Hamas commits terrorism, you don't support Hamas, and neither do I, and neither do the vast majority of Palestinian people. The point I'm making is that everyone already knows Hamas is bad and nobody likes them, but no matter how much we might dislike and condemn Hamas, they've killed far fewer people than Israel has.

@LeopoldBloom If Hamas had funding, they wouldn't be using cheap ass rockets that have been outdated since before I was even born. Their arms are obsolete and their tactics are simple and dumb, because they don't have anyone who knows what the fuck they're doing.
Furthermore, it doesn't make a difference if their offer was made in good faith or not. They're obviously not offering to cease their violence because they're just nice people and wanna get along with everyone. They're hateful and gross, we know that, but they're also impossibly outnumbered and outgunned, and they fucking know it. They made that offer because they didn't wanna die.
You're gonna acknowledge that it's wrong to hide insurgents in civilian populations because they can cause harm to innocent people, but you're not gonna acknowledge that it's even more wrong to just bomb the entire population into oblivion? Installing military forces in a civilian population IS a war crime, as it should be. It's wrong because it puts those civilians in danger. And therefore, bombing the same civilian population should also be a war crime because that also harms them.
