I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

Why do a lot of parents tend to pamper and dote on their youngest child? It's never made a whole lot of sense to me. They're strict with their oldest kids and know it gets good results (as long as they don't go overboard). So why pamper their youngest and turn them into brats?

Children and life don't come with instructions ... And parents love their kids. The first one is such a big deal and parents are very nervous about making mistakes and tend to over parent . They learn from their mistakes and try to not repeat them when subsequent children are born, and they realize kids are resilient and fun and they back away from being so up tight and strict.

I knew somebody would say kids don't come with instructions. Some people don't spoil their youngest at all. My sister-in-law said by the time they got to her they knew all the tricks so she could get away with nothing. She has 3 older brothers. And as an observation, people spoil boys more no matter the birth order.

@Cloud7593: maybe you'll just have to accept that people aren't raising their children to suit you and that you will just have to get over it. Life is too short don't you think?
