I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

Do you think that the school shootings and other violence mainly comes from lack of discipline, especially parental discipline? One woman said that in our day (we grew up in the 80s) armed school officials meant a paddle not a gun. Lack of discipline is probably part of the problem but there's more going on than that. I told her there were plenty of spoiled brats in our day too, although it wasn't the majority like it is now.

@QuixoticSoul 80s and 90s were more violent? They started talking abt schools being violent in the 90s. I didn't think the 80s were violent but I was a child then so mat

@Cloud7593 Murder rate was double what it is now back then. 1980 is actually the peak, though 90s was also bad.

School shootings were more rare. Other violence was much worse.
