I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

Do you think it's spoiling kids to only fix them food they like in stead of forcing them to eat whatever is served? My brother was very picky and mom would fix him special meals to get him to eat. She always said he'd starve to death if he didn't. He'd throw fits at the table if something wasn't to his liking and she couldn't stand that so she'd jump up and fix him something else. The more she gave in the pickier he got as he got older. Dad would sit and laugh at him when he cried and put on a show. Just for the record, I've noticed it's usually boys who are picky and demand their food be a certain way. I've seen it in other families. Mom fixed me stuff I liked but wouldn't have catered to me to the extent she did him. And I'm not saying she should have.
