I fibbed - since I was a child that most wonderful fella Andy was too good to be true... irrational though my dislike may be, that dislike continues to this day.

Have you seen the 1957 movie A Face in the Crowd? Griffith played a character (Lonesome Rhodes) who could've been Sheriff Taylor's evil twin. It was a great part played by a fine actor (I'll give Griffith that much).
