Fake Friday - Emily Pellegrini

This week's rabbit hole took me to this photo and person - Emily Pellegrini. What's fake? You'll need to page down...

Emily is not a real person. She's an AI generated model. She has an IG and Fanvue. Evidently, the people who manage her constantly get msgs from celebs, sports figures, and wealthy individuals looking to meet up.

If one looks closely, AI generated images have flaws. You could tell when the neck is too long in proportion to the face., or that the hands are strange looking.

But when the image has boobs and a pretty face, that’s where most people focus their eyes on. They want to believe what they see.
@CookieCrumbs Agree. Furthermore, I would be willing to bet the "creator" in this case is a dude.
@CookieCrumbs I only see the water. Beautiful view.

Not good with details? 🤭
@CookieCrumbs LOL, not good with reality and playing to the least common denominator. I suppose a woman could do the same, or Onlyfans wouldn't be a thing...

Men are visual creatures and they practice “suspension of disbelief “ regularly. 😂

@CookieCrumbs How about the elongated elbow on her left arm? That's one strange joint, in my eyes..... and if we are visual creatures, would we not see this? Not mentioning her right arm appears short....

I know you are getting at the suspension of disbelief.... 😉
@SW-User I think there's also factoring into the suspension something on the order of dumbing down, whereby people become habituated to it as long as it fits a formulaic visual. Kind of like the lack of variation within pop music. Unfortunately, the negative side effect is disbelieving the real with it's inherent variations and imperfections.

That's about 80% of the men on here, so you're dead on.
@Synyster
It’s like watching a magic show. One has to be willing to ‘believe’ it. Otherwise what’s the point of watching? 😂

If one chooses to watch, they choose to believe.

@CookieCrumbs That's so true. Or they're mesmerized by the pic and want it to be true, like a fantasy. 🤣
