Someone realized that every culture appropriates from other cultures and that it's a sign of a living, healthy growing culture that it is willing to change and adapt and adopt?
bijouxbroussard · F
@ChipmunkErnie Right…Edison ripped them off because they were free and white. Exactly the same circumstances.

@bijouxbroussard Whatever.

@bijouxbroussard What some seem to miss is that these contributions need to be stated and acknowledged because of the gaslighting that only a certain group of people are capable of certain things.

In Japan you better not. They're watching your step and they don't like foreign walking.
Thodsis · 51-55, M
@Roundandroundwego I'd love to know what counts as 'foreign walking'.

what about african peopel wearig suits
bijouxbroussard · F
@kittee The West has insisted upon that. You don’t dress what is considered "professionally", you’re not considered employable. Even in African countries, non-Africans are not required to wear tribal clothing.
Incidentally, even in non-European countries, European missionaries have dictated what native people wear. So it’s hardly the same situation. 🤨

It’s especially unlikely to be taken seriously if you wear them together. 🙂

The ideal and term "cultural appropriation" is nothing more than an ideological myth to be honest!!!!
