Do you support marriage equality?
Many countries still don't recognize Queer love and the ones that do still have political and religious forces that try to take it away.

You have phrased the commentary in a most undemocratic way.

I am not speaking of countries that do not have a democratic framework.

Marriage equality exists in some countries because of a democratic process. It doesn't exist in some countries because of a democratic process.

Just because it is supported in some countries doe not mean that everyone supports it. Just because it is not supported in some countries does not mean that nobody supports it.

To equate recognition of queer love to marriage equality is to say that one of the steps along the way in most democracies, the decriminalisation of homosexuality, was a non-event. Many people were persecuted on the road to that step and you dishonour them by not recognising it.

@FragileHeart I hope you don't get a sore forehead

@Zeusdelight you probably feel smart because of your nit picking don't you?

Also no I don't dishonor them but our fight is for complete equality and total liberation from oppressive societal norms and laws. Those who were persecuted back then now fight with the newer generation for marriage equality and anti discrimination laws. They are not thankful for the decriminalisation, they recognize it as the only right step and as only one step in our struggle.

@FragileHeart I never comment for my own ego. I comment where I think something has been ignored, especially, a struggle that cost people their health, wealth or lives.

I did not say at any stage that they were thankful for decriminalisation. However, I am sure that they would not want that step lost to history either.

@Zeusdelight
tl;dr
Sophistry

@basilfawlty89 Interesting, how you can not read a thing but still judge it. A bit silly really.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Zeusdelight no, tl;dr version is a summary, gramps. You wrote a load of nonsense, verbosely, sure, but nonsense. Children, pets, etc. can't give informed consent. Two adult men or two adult women can.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@basilfawlty89 You don't know your own acronyms and cannot read. I haven't said anything about children, pets etc and have not spoken about consent. Another silly commment.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Zeusdelight you also prattled on about "democracy" as in people have the right to take away others rights because a majority decided on it.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@basilfawlty89 Thank goodness, after three attempts, you have actually read something of what I said. The next step is to put it into context.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Zeusdelight congratulations, you spoke words without sounding like an utter knob with all the needless flourishing speech.

Do you think just because a majority votes for something that violates the autonomy of another human being, that should be law?
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@basilfawlty89 When you choose to respond without your silly name calls or ridiculous explanations for your comments, I'll continue.

But it seems as if you have gone into not understanding or just misinterpreting my comments again.

@Zeusdelight then learn to explain yourself properly in the first place. Brevity is the soul of wit.
