Becoming a single dad was tough at first

Becoming a single dad was tough at first,I was 24 and my daughters were 5 and 3 years old at the time. Ex girlfriend left while I was at work and mom called that my daughters were at home alone which she did pick them up after coming to check on them. I made it through with help of my mom and 2 brothers. My friends helped out too. Never found out why my ex girlfriend left, her stuff was gone. It took time to adjust to it until I met my wife whom was a single mom of a 5 year old son. She helped me through it after her ex boyfriend did the same thing

SO many people find themselves abandoned, WITH their children abandoned also...and it is very sad. The JOYOUS part of that sad experience is when they meet someone in the same situation, and THEN they join together and lift each other back up.

Congratulations to you BOTH for surviving.

@4meAndyou

That kind of abandonment is ghosting of the worst sort.

@4meAndyou I became a great fatherlike figure in her son's life and have a great step father/ step son relationship to this day
