Don’t have intent.

Learn how to have absolutely no intent in everything you do. Don’t live your life trying to do anything. You simply do without effort, and everything will get done.

Intention of any kind, only prevents you from appreciating what is as you instead strive for what isn’t. We are not here to get what we want. We are here to want what we get. Only by ridding yourself of purpose and reason for activity, can you discover purpose and reason within activity.

I’m not saying you cannot plan or have a greater goal worth pursuing. I’m saying that the only way to get there is here and now. Anything more you can add to your current life must only serve as a bonus to what is already perfect and should not be needed in any way. If you cannot find happiness exactly where you are, then you will inevitably intend in all that you do and you will never truly enjoy anything you have. You will only be sad about what you don’t.

I think the only main way intent could be a positive thing, is if you are trying to get away from abuse, or overcome a fear perhaps. They say to work backwards in a way, like imagine you are no longer afraid of whatever you've been fearful of..as if you've already healed or conquered it, what that would feel like. I guess there could be an ounce of intent in that type dynamic. But otherwise I like that idea, to just BE. To really be IN the Now, whenever possible. 🌟

@Coralmist Yes, one should certainly go in whatever direction suits them in life. Away from a bad situation is definitely a great place to start! Lol. However if you intend to get away, that only leaves room to be upset if you can’t or there’s delays in the process. As for fear if you intend to conquer it, you will fight it instead of embracing it and letting it teach you. It is odd, but the paradoxical nature of life is found in how we can only overcome whatever we accept.

I get what you're saying, but it's also quite delusional to make yourself believe something that you don't actually think is true. It could have positive benefits for you for sure, but it could also make a lot of people even more confused if they went down this route. No one's life is perfect, and things can always be improved to make it better, and just because someone can't find happiness in their situation it doesn't mean they should think that they'll never find happiness.

@MartinTheFirst That may be how you see it, and also how it’s often defined, but there is such as thing as perfectly imperfect. As in you find the fact that things can always be improved to be perfect in itself and you wouldn’t ever want to change that aspect of life.

@Reject 😬 that's a lot of mental gymnastics just to be able to say your life is perfect... but I get it

@MartinTheFirst Well I would hope there is no mental obstacle one isn’t willing to navigate to find their own perfect life. 😌

Reminds me of: "If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present." ~ Lao Tzu

@seaglass Yes! Lao Tzu who led the philosophy of Taoism. What’s regarded as the bible of the East. A lot of what I believe in has roots in Taoism, but growing up here in the west I have a lot of those philosophies too. I pick what makes sense to me and genuinely benefits my life. 😌

Success is the best revenge.
Reject · 26-30, M
@FloorGenAdm This can be true in many cases, but if the intent of your success was revenge, then I would say it was very unsuccessful.

@jshm2 If this is how you feel, why comment about it? You’re free to of course, but what people do with their freedom says a lot about them.
