Do you agree we need to create the matrix simply to stick old people in it?
When they get too slow and chatty at the register it's time to take them out of society and plug them in. It's enough already, I can't take it anymore.

This was frustrating as a cashier, sure but you've got to remember it is actually quite sad as they are lonely.
Lots of these people may well have been very popular at one point and may have had more of an active social life than you.
