20 % or more. I was a waitress for many years. They are underpaid and rely on tips.
Every other country in the world doesn’t tip, but in the US, I tend to leave $15 or $20 because I feel bad for their low wages. I don’t eat out often, and when I do it’s rather little. So that is more than expected.
