I wrote this following my husbands stroke. Tell me how this makes you feel

'Dreams of Love'

For in a dream, can it persist;
If but in dreams we do exist?

In passionate arms I held you true;
longing to be touched by you.

For what we miss in each others' kiss,
Is the breath we take for each others sake.

As the story goes ablaze unknown;
Till the journey's sold but not for gold.

Treasures told, as emotions unfold.
No longer a dream, but now spent desire.

Tis because of your love,
I know this fire......

Poignant. 馃様 I understand where the emotions evoked in the poem are rooted from.馃様 You are blessed, he is still around; my husband had gone too soon.馃槩

He became so upset with this change, he became violent. I had to place him in a nursing home. I feel he blames me. His anger erupts to a point I felt I had to visit less and less. We both met late in life. Our time together was short.

True, For us both, out 1st marriage was a horror. We had 3 years of a honeymoon. Never a disagreement. Always in sinc of what we both wanted.
He just gave up. Didn't want to work anymore. Refused all exercises.

This evokes a sense of sadness for loss but also an appreciation for the time we have together.
