Why do some feel ur being negative when u feel ur trying to help?

My husband is taking his driving test 2moro & I've already been driving for over 10 years. I know some aspects of the tests have changed since I took it but if I suggest an idea my husband things I am being negative to him!

It's like if I say 'the examiner might expect u to over do looking at ur mirrors before u move the car' my husband wud say, stop telling me what to do, stop being negative!

Or if they ask 'how do u check if ur indicators are working' my husband wud say 'put on hazard lights' I said yes that'll work but u can put on each light individually & check that way too, my hubby said I was being negative & disrespectful of his way of learning!

Am I in the wrong?

I don't think so, but it doesn't really sound likeyour husband's going to see that you're just trying to help. Let him do it on his own I guess. If he fails, it's on him.

@boklenholley7 actually that's how I see it too... he is quite stubborn but I can be too but I know when someone is trying to help but he doesn't. As much as I love him & dont want him to fail, I feel he shld fail to see he needs help! I know that sounds bitchy of me but that's the way I learned growing up... it's hard but there's no easy way to life!
Why don’t you think your husband can figure out how to drive the without your help? @BondGirl84

@Spoiledbrat he stopped at a green light during his last test!
Maybe he was just nervous?? @BondGirl84
