@Platoscave That's exactly why free speech laws usually only cover what I mentioned. They are mere guidelines but important ones to learn how to tolerate each other in society because they work.

If you limit any other kind of speech, it's only a matter of time until someone limits yours. History has proven this. A modern and less egregious example is Facebook and Twitter ban policy starting to backfire on those that demanded changes in their rules. Europe is also facing a lot of issues partly because of this.

When you start policing each other's speech, it creates resentment and unrest and then, it's only a matter of time until that powder keg blows up.

This wasn't nearly as much of a problem before the outrage culture began.

@MartenSPhotographer Sure those religions that I listed above preach love if you're of their "race". Look to India and see the caste system, or Israel and see how they treat the Palestinians, or the rest of the Middle East and see how they treat non Arabic people. And why? Because their books say that they are the chosen ones and everyone else is lesser. Hatred disguised as religion.

@Platoscave Ah that is a tough one. Very grey area. I think free speech is an illusion though. Like no country really allows you to say anything. So the real question is what restrictions should we put in place. Racial hatred seems like a good place to start, even religion based.
