What does meditation help you with?

what do you think of it? i tried it almost like 7 years ago, had a bad experience the very first time and then i left it for years and years...lately it came up again. I think it helps to find ones centre. and let go. and and so many things:)

I think it helps you to perceive the world in different ways, and that puts you a little more in tune with reality as a whole.
