Joyful Silence is correct... but I'm not an atheist. The background to that verse is that we live in the regime of sin... so all of us are paying the price for our sins and those of other.
Thankfully.. it's not a permanent situation.

@Lorieta I'm informed by my faith... and of course the evidence of the world.

I have faith but sometimes i even doubt whether what i believe in is true

SW-User
@Lorieta That's why it's faith. But ... don't let it rest there... get educated. I'm educated enough that now nothing would really shock my faith.

@SW-User i like this
How did you come to faith (I’m assuming it’s in Jesus?) ? @SW-User

I was born into a christian family. Of course, one has to grow into it and make a specific decision to put one's faith in God and our Savior Jesus Christ - but I don't have a particular moment in time for that. That doesn't mean I haven't had moments of particular growth in my faith.
That is true, but I’m glad you made the distinction between growing up with a family who are followers of Christ, and salvation, because many would get the idea that since their family might have followed Jesus, then that means they were automatically grafted in as followers, as well, and that’s not what God’s Word says. It’s an individual commitment to Jesus, that counts.

@SW-User That’s exactly right, what you said about growing in faith. That is a lifetime position in Christ. We should be learning and growing in our faith, as we walk with Him each day.
