Have you ever saved someone's life?

Yes, I saved my son, he was choking on a grape when he was five and I stopped it.
And my daughter was in a pool and almost drowned when she was 8 and I jumped in and saved her.

sure. Good for you! Self sacrifice is a bit strong! What save someone - I have - self sacrifice - not if I could help it. One time I drove along and saw a little kid on the kerb and 2 other kids on the other side. As I got real close the little kid ran across to the other two. I stopped my car on a dime! Just had my brakes done! It gave me nightmares! I thought would I have crashed into a tree to avoid the kid and concluded I would. Glad I did not have to test that theory out.

In over ten years of being a paramedic I guess there were a few along the way. Maybe five that I really remember, the rest is kind of a blur.

I've helped people who wanted nutrition advice for particular health problems. One person looked like he was anorexic and asked if there was anything to help his appetite, I suggested B-complex vitamins and bought a good brand of multi-vitamins, he gained about 35 pounds in 6 months.

Without knowing, I guess so. My best friend called and told me he's in downtown and asked if I'd like to meet with him. I said yes, a few minutes after we met a bomb was exploded in the area that he would be waiting for bus if I didn't meet with him that day.

i am almost out of lives...
i can't say that i have saved anyone...although,

i do stop for squirrels in the road...i will also move turtles out of traffic...

That is great to hear you have made such an impact on others lives. I haven't saved anyone's life, but I hope I have helped others have a more enjoyable life.

No. But I talked my brother out of suicide once. That's the closest thing I can think of.
