If humans suddenly couldn’t lie at all, the advertising industry would likely collapse first.
A large part of advertising relies on exaggeration, emotional persuasion, and presenting products in the most flattering way rather than giving completely plain facts. Without the ability to stretch the truth, many ads would lose their impact and much of the industry’s current approach wouldn’t work.
