Lies need support. The truth doesn’t.

So if you want to see how much someone believes in the things they say, look at how much they defend and fight for it. If they must protect it, it’s a weak lie that has to be maintained by them. If they don’t care and about disagreement or any sort of oppositional viewpoint, it’s because it’s their own personal truth that doesn’t require any effort on their part to be strong, it’s self sustaining. It’s an absolute value to them, so it doesn’t matter what the world thinks of it.

Oh so wise and I concur.
I always think the louder the proclamations (trying to prove) the more false.

@Magenta Indeed! It’s very easy to feel threatened when you’re weak in your beliefs. So that’s every reason to get loud and emotional about them.

@Reject Yes and sometimes it's the opposite too. The things we deny or rail against, such as "others" being dramatic or toxic or dishonest, is exactly what we are.

@Magenta That’s true! Every lie always has countless excuses or reasons to exist. The truth doesn’t need a single one. It just is no matter how you feel about it.

@Reject Mhm, it exists on it's own merit.

@Magenta Which means the closer someone is to the truth, the more they can do the same.
