Hmmm, maybe, but mostly I think we've always been intolerant, and with the advent of the internet and social media, become more able/willing to spread our intolerance and hate.

@bijouxbroussard especially those who can hide behind the shield of their username and can spout baseless hate, outright lies, and crazy conspiracy theories.
Before social media, they could spread it to their close friends and that was about it... now they can broadcast it worldwide and draw in other hateful, intolerant folks like them.
