The mobile phone.

It would have been wonderful for the rare few in or travelling through long distance places.
But look how it's been abused by employers and random irritating cold callers.

To say nothing of the industry it spawned, creating limited life electronic trash worthless within five years so causing the customer to constantly shell out for ever more.

@Picklebobble2 what annoys me the most is people that cant leave it in their pocket to walk down a street! They just walk with their head down bumping into you instead of looking where they're going.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Primnproper To say nothing of those who look at an unnecessary screen while driving.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Picklebobble2 definitely..

@Picklebobble2 Mobile phones are a blessing. Smartphone's are the insidious instruments.

Vin53 cellphones are evil tools for the government to track us and control us. Just like the internet, its and evil tool for them

@HumanEarth meh, they can go ahead and track me. I'll do my part to bore them into retirement.

@Picklebobble2 I agree. If we had mobile phones when we were dating, my wife and i may not have married. I would have known when she was out with other guys and incriminating pics surely would have been sent to me. Ignorance was bliss for me.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
@exexec Same for me

@Picklebobble2 they probably have saved many lives. When we were in a car accident in September Ray’s phone called 9-1-1 and a fire truck with a medic was there within 5 minutes (it was about a half mile from the fire station). I put that same app on mine because I was so flustered and walking in circles I couldn’t even dial 9-1-1 at the time. The accident totaled both cars and I had just had surgery to remove an adrenal gland 7 days before.

Patti I agree on that part, what I don't like. It that they use it as a tool to spy on you.

Your location
Your phone book
Your photographs
Your microphone
Your camera

They have access to everything and will use it against you. That's the part I don't like
