Why is there such a crappy view on homeschooling ?

I argue kids socialize less in school. Teachers bark "you aren't here to be social" at kids
Instead of just being with kids their own age they are with all age groups.
I'm not saying everyone homeschools right but 馃し

Basically, because not everyone鈥檚 qualified to teach. And this is true among folks trained to do the job, so for someone who (for example) barely made it through school him or herself to want to homeschool ? Their kids are at a disadvantage (imho). Plus, the reasons some people state for homeschooling can be questionable鈥攏ot wanting their kids "exposed" to children or teachers of different races, religions, or from LGBT homes. Again, unless the kids are to live insular lives, they鈥檙e at a disadvantage without the chance to meet and interact with different types of people. Don鈥檛 they still have recess and breaks at schools ? 馃

@bijouxbroussard some but usually they only have those times with kids their age not all age groups. Even not well educated parents can seek personal tutors and homeschool.
@chickiegirl95 Primary schools teach kindergarten through 6th grade (ages 5 through 11, generally). Parents who don鈥檛 homeschool also seek personal tutors for their children. When I was in high school, I often tutored younger children.

@bijouxbroussard not like that type of tutor. I mean you can have a personal tutor teach an entire topic for you if need be
