Why is there such a crappy view on homeschooling ?

I argue kids socialize less in school. Teachers bark "you aren't here to be social" at kids
Instead of just being with kids their own age they are with all age groups.
I'm not saying everyone homeschools right but 🤷

Homeschooling is child abuse.

@chickiegirl95 Are you a trained teacher ? If not, you don’t know if your kids are learning because they love it or just afraid of you.
You can’t know how they will behave when in college, on their own. You don’t know whether their performance is the result of the pressure you put on them or it’s their natural abilities.
Your kids could also be doing it just support please you, support your claim that homeschooling is better.

@chickiegirl95 by this we can not really tell if they are educated or simply were intimidated by their teachers. I think a really good psychiatrist could prescribe something to help them.

@eMortal for one I do not use fear at all to teach my children. They love learning and "mom what are we doing today " is excitedly asked every single day. Their father is a trained teacher and sits with me quarterly to help me plan their lessons. You claim I have no idea how they will act in college but have absolutely no idea what their education is like. They attend 4 classes weekly that are each an HR long and sit through them just fine. They will also when they hit high school be doing penn foster online. Which is a online homeschool (accredited and taught by teachers) curriculum where they will receive their diploma. Which prepares them for online college. They will also at the age of 13 be handed a car and a tiny home frame that they will be building from the ground up with their father so they have the skills to join any trade or at least have the knowledge. On top of everything else I have said they attend farmers markets with me and sell products, which teaches them not only money handling but also gives them the skills to work customer service and yes they are paid to do so and enjoy having the $. Oh and they are in multiple clubs..... And a grade ahead in reading and math....
