Well, Ive ran into some online profiles that have tried to scam me, but luckily I was smart enough to see through them, and I credit that to both the Dr Phil show and the show Catfish. I'm going to tell this story and I'll post his photo below so you guys know know who he is.
He added me on Instagram, his name was Ray Chase, but now it's Chase Ray, he was all sweet and honestly, tried a little too hard to sound charming. That was my first red flag. Then he told me he was in the military and his dad was sick and he needed money, and started asking which bank I use, at first he tried to make it sound like he wanted to know a good bank to open a account with (I already got suspicious, so I wasn't buying it) but after a while, he made it pretty clear that he wanted me to not only give him info about my account but also put him on my account, and I never even met the guy, and I told him that and that it's ridiculous to ask someone you have never met that. Anyway, I decided to play with him and pretend I didn't know what was going on, and told him I'll send send money through the military, and he gave me all kinds of excuses why that wouldn't work and I asked him if he had a bank near him (he told me he was in three completely different foreign countries, two middle eastern and one African) and he said no, at one point I told him I'll send him a $25 iTunes card and his response to that was, I wouldn't mind $50. Anyway I never sent him any money and I told him I was on to him and blocked him, I don't know anything else, but he's still on Instagram and he likes to use the app Kik, anyway never send anyone money over the internet, don't even lend your Bff money without a written contract, but I thought you guy may enjoy a story about cat fishing a catfish.
