I don’t like BLM or ALM

Honestly it comes down to the officers safety.

So many of us who have never been in that situation on either side can’t see the perspective of an officer or a civilian in these tense scenarios.

Most people without a doubt will jump on the bandwagon of being “woke”

Bethany and or Braydon have probably never been in a situation where they only have seconds to react with two possible outcomes to pick from.

1: I want to protect myself, at this moment nothing else matters but to survive and see my family another day.

Or.

2: I’m going to do what ever it takes to appease clueless people with subjective views on social media.

There’s a specific reason why some officers refuse to patrol predominantly minority neighborhoods. Any thing they do is because of “racism” and some secret plan to it eradicate minorities 1 by 1 every few months...

Now of course it’s harder for me to relate because o don’t know anyone who was unjustly or even justly killed by an officer for that matter.

However I personally know 5 officers killed on the line of duty and two who were inured on the line of duty.

So I never could see myself being one for Black Lives Matter but I also hate people saying All Lives Matter.

Too many people are tallying up what race does what and using that as fuel to make a “So Ha!” Attack on one another.

Nobody is going to change others until they stop and think where they need to change themselves.

And all this crap about everything and one is racist has really devalued the term racist. It’s so watered down by over use of things and people that are not even remotely close to racist that the word has lost its meaning. This is why so many people are fed of with these movements and protests and the fallout that happens to come from them.

Do I blame these people? No. And remember, in 2016 a lot of people were fed up with a lot of these same things prior to the election. These things make people vote away from these causes because they are not really helping anything.

I find these movements albeit BLM or ALM thinking they’re helping the wound heal by peeling the scab off.

But a scabbing wound is already healing. Instead of throwing a tantrum over every god damn thing someone else does, focus on your success and live your life and you will realize that a lot of what’s being mentioned is happening at a very minuscule amount.

You're against systemically oppressed people speaking out for their lack of rights?

Well, you're the problem. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The problem is that the police SYSTEM teaches to profile people of color and that people of color are MORE aggressive or dangerous. Well it’s only natural that a police officer goes into the situation ok alert and fine BUT to have multiple officers and non just saying stop…. I got it from here. Instead they all jump on the bandwagon and it progressively gets worse. All that needs to be done is the officers POLICE themselves and this would be a non issue.

No one care that a person gets roughed up goes with the territory but to get killed for basically doing nothing …just wrong regardless of skin color except you rarely if ever see that on any other skin color besides black. Have you ever seen cops beat down a white person like they do blacks? If so please show me some that get national attention.

@MasterLee When i say the system i am talking about the policing system.... not saying they teach hate what i am saying is they teach profiling and with that comes this other bs along the lines.

@black4white passive language makes me cringe - first thing they drill you with in law school

And it remains - I am a person of color (are you trying to say black/brown is the only color on the spectrum?)
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@black4white when you teach children to be fearful and distrustful, they are. They run from the police. They take chances. They act stupidly. That isn't the police that is the response to badly taught children's actions.
I’m the sister of a retired black police officer. And even he knows that the culture is such that police are encouraged to profile people of color. To the point that even he has found himself being treated like a criminal by police in other cities when not in uniform. A police officer would certainly know how to behave around other police to try and diffuse a situation. But among people determined to see you as a threat, it doesn’t always matter how you behave. So, my brother certainly knows what police deal with, because he faced the public—just like other cops—with the extra added bonus that some see him as a "traitor".
And he knows what black men deal with—one up on the "Blue Lives Matter" crowd. 😳

When SF starts giving out huge checks to blacks who were never slaves I am getting in on it. I'll say the white culture in the US is so dominant and repressive that Stockholm Syndrome turned my skin white!👍

Oh yeah, I remember when this was the big thing that everyone was chattering about.

Do BLM and ALM even still exist now?
BlueVeins · 22-25
Personally, I get discouraged by all the quick judgments and "ACAB" bullshit, but in terms of the actual policies each side supports, BLM is definitely right. There's currently no uniform law stating that police officers must wear body cams and keep them on. There's currently no national use-of-force standard. Qualified immunity prevents officers from being prosecuted, even when they're unambiguously in the wrong. If you get past the culture war and look at the substance, it's very clear who's in the right.

Preach brother, its the problem with social media. Everyones business is everyones business. When I hear the word racist now my natural reaction is now doubt and investigate.

Only personal responsibility for yourself and your actions towards others will help, forgiving and being kind and generous to others, not putting people down and attacking them to make yourself feel good in the eyes of others, not defining others by race and politics thus creating more division and hatred etc.

Your last sentence - says it all....well said my friend.
@luctoretemergo Said by someone who could never possibly understand. He belongs to the most privileged group in western society and will never have to worry about being treated as "other".
