I shouldn’t be nervous or scared to post this but I am. I shouldn’t have to be nervous to share my opinion and neither should anyone else cause nobody deserves hate for saying this
@CountScrofula
but the idea is that when time and resources and energy is spent on treating a single disease, you don't actively attempt to undermine those efforts by trying to redirect the conversation.
We don't treat single diseases. We treat them all. And, we sure as hell don't burn the hospital down.
Everyone knows all lives matter. It is not worth mentioning.
It's worth mentioning when someone suggests that some lives may not matter as much by exclusion.
I believe ALL lives matter.......and I think if one limits a slogan like that to just one color----be that white lives--or black lives---or whatever that is exclusionary.....and that in itself is discriminatory...which is the definition of racism. So while saying BLACK LIVES MATTER is done to not sound racist......it actually is.
Several months ago, a black man said, "It means Black Lives Matter, TOO." And if you are white, like I am, you do NOT know what it is like to be pulled over, questioned, given scared or "what are YOU doing HERE?" or "what are you trying to steal?" looks, etc., your whole life, just because of genetic differences in melatonin, hair, noses, lips...
We white persons have all kinds of validation of our worth, all around us.
