Do not go gentle...

"Do not go gentle into that good night
Rage, rage, against the dying of the light."

That's the poet Dylan Thomas, reflecting on old age and death. I think they are beautiful and inspiring lines. Does life seem harder with age? Have you experienced losses? Do you feel less attractive? Don't let it get to you. Live your best life. Get your freak on. Buy the sports car. Go to the heavy metal concert or the nude beach. Wear the leather pants or miniskirt. Will people under 30 make fun? Don't know, don't care.

“Live your best life.”

I didn’t have wait to be older to do this. I’ve always had the no-care attitude about exploring life the way I want to. Whether it’s what I wear, or eat, to experience. I do things based on my own standards not that of others.

Even when I was still single and started travelling for work, I would go on side trips and adventures that would have made my parents panic at the thought. Those were my life’s best kept secret at that time. 😅

And now at 50+, I won’t think twice about wearing that leather mini skirt! 😉

@CookieCrumbs Rock that miniskirt!
@Harmonium1923
I think I’d rather wear that than go on a rollercoaster. 😅

Absolutely it's harder and nearly numberless losses, not a few or several, but oh so many.
I concur! It doesn't hold me back. And I started mountain biking after 60. ✨

@Magenta I didn’t realize you had started mountain biking so recently. I figured it was a lifelong pursuit!
Im starting to dress differently because I am slowly reminding myself that I dress for me. No one else.

@0uijaFinger Less black? Or more?
@Harmonium1923 More style and shape. Have added more colour though

Don't go genital, either.

I think you tend to care less of others opinions as you age...

@Convivial That has been my experience.
