I accept all of that except for the "teen girl making a pass at dad." It sounds too much like Freuds "every man is in love with his mother," which I can attest to is not true.

@calicuz I didn't use the universal affirmative:

"He said that most fathers have some point in a daughter's teen years where she has some fantasy about herself and her dad--mom isn't in the picture, but is somehow not an issue--and she'll make a (possibly quite clumsy) pass at dad." (Emphasis added.)

And yeah, I loved & love my Mother, but I'm not in love with her.
