The "age is just a number" folks who intentionally seek out teenagers.

It's not that young people you are targeting are wiser and more mature.. it is more that you are mentally impaired and never grew up enough to catch up with your peers. Being kind enough here not to use the R word.

I think in some cases some people do display more maturity than their peers but ultimately that doesn't change how such relationships will have a negative effect on the individual. Besides ,displays of "maturity" at a young age can be the result of some sort of traumatic experience the child went through growing up,in which case they are really maybe even more vulnerable than other teenagers , who act more as you would expect someone that young to.
