Why Is Your Age Hidden?

I just wonder why some people don't reveal their age. Not that it's wrong or anything. I'm just asking.

Once upon a time it was a privacy thing while I was feeling the place out. I could see some people not wanting their posts viewed through the lens of age and the automatic bias it gives some people.
