I used to have a friend in Canada 30 years ago but I feel it's been so long that tracking her down is probably impossible

Back then I sort of did have some friends both local and far flung. She was one of the far-flungs.

I can't find any emails from the time so can't try that route.

I think I can still remember the phone number but I'd dare not call it and make a total ass of myself.

Perhaps it's one of those rocks better left un-turned after so long has passed in the meantime.

A heck of a lot happens in one's life over the course of 30 years.
