That for Global Warming to be reduced we have to rely on each other. No one country or one person. It's a whole world thing...and, for that to happen, we need to help each other.
Society, in some countries, just doesn't get the last part of that.

@SammyJo I know that at least 40% of my country definitely isn't ready to hear that. You talk to them about reducing pollution, and instead of a reasonable, rational conversation, they engage in finger pointing. "Oh, why should we do anything when China is one of the worst offenders? Why should I reduce my emissions when billionaires are flying around in their jets?"
SammyJo · 51-55, F
@LordShadowfire and, that sadly is the thing. No 'Let's help..', but finger wagging!
Gwwrrrhhhh!

@SammyJo And you just outlined all the reasons why it isnt going to happen. Humans are entering a very selfish phase..Global recession..😷
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I think the problem is that we are giving the most immature, selfish humans a platform from which to complain, and they are appealing to the immaturity and selfishness in all of us. It doesn't work on everyone, but it works on a lot of people.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@LordShadowfire I agree. But it does beg the questions. "Who gave them the platform?" and "When it was seen how much damage they were doing, why didnt someone stop them."😷

@SammyJo I'll let you know as soon as I find some.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I'll tell you exactly who it was who gave them the platform. It's not that difficult to find the conspirators. They're all making billions.

@SammyJo 😂 Lets not start with America...In fact, Considering the current situation, I think the easiest answer is to let America go its own way, fasten your seat belts and ride out the next year or two..Maybe build a wall around them. Then the rest of us can come to some arrangement.. Canada seems to be showing the way..😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@LordShadowfire I agree thats who is funding the process. (And it looks like they might get away with it) But the average American has been willing to follow as long as "success" or its appearance could be bought. And gasoline stayed cheap.. Its not like the rip offs, corruption and inequality couldnt be seen... I dont like to believe that the average American is that average...😷
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman The problem is that humans want things to be simple. We want things to be nice and easy and simple, and that means we want to believe people are telling us the truth. Because we don't like things complicated.
SammyJo · 51-55, F
@LordShadowfire Sadly big companies with big budgets to market things that they think we all need, regardless of the cost to the environment.
SammyJo · 51-55, F
@LordShadowfire human nature is all about cutting corners, sadly...
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@LordShadowfire Again, I agree. But step by step America built a global system. Then tried to convince the world that paper was gold. And they could print as much gold as they liked without consequence. It doesnt sound totally preposterous at first. People say "What does it matter? Its Money". But if I say. Its a bag of wheat. Or a bottle of fresh water. Then you can see the problem with just printing the money to buy it..The gold has real value in the world. The paper doesnt. Of course the problem is more complex. But there is the underlying lie. Trying to exchange something of value for something of no value doesnt work for long..😷

@SammyJo well isn't this rich ... you do acknowledge that your litany of AI-generated pics for your dozen UK hooker alts is not helping global warming, right sir???
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I absolutely agree. Paper currency is the biggest scam humans have ever perpetrated on each other. Did you know they were originally called banknotes because they were supposed to be IOU letters?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@1490wayb And as long as the lid stayed on the pot everything was fine. Everyone was admiring the emperors new clothes.. Thats one thing the globe has Trump to thank for. He made everyone see just how broke America is. Something Americans themselves are about to learn..😷
