Interesting point... Many years ago, my son went on his year 9 School trip to China. (Yes. It was that kind of school). And the school suggested each student buy up a supply of Australian souveniers to distribute as gifts.. Great idea. So we went looking and nearly all the souveniers stuffed koalas and kangaroos were made in China. Eventually we found some koalas made with Kangaroos skin locally made. Much more expensive though. Added a few coin sets. And a few other knick nacks.. But he came back with caligraphy sets, pottery tea pots, and a porcelain figurine. I would say we won on that one..😷
