If you meet someone who is 15, you see them much differently 10 years later than you do a person you meet who is already 25.
We need to make sure we don't use those biases to try to prevent them from living their lives. We also need to make sure that we take them seriously.
As an example, I was fairly sheltered growing up and there are some elders in my life that still see me that way and dismiss things I say out of hand because of it.
I try hard not to perpetuate that, but it can show up.

I think I was in my early teens when we met but I wasn't active on EP until almost the time it closed. I was mid or late teens by then.
