One thing I really can’t stand? Being asked “why?” — especially after I’ve already said no.

“Do you want this?”
“No, thank you.”
“Why not?”
…Because I don’t like it. Because I’m not in the mood. Because I said no.

Not everything needs an explanation. I used to feel like I had to justify my choices, even the small ones. But then I saw a clip of Mary-Kate and Ashley in an interview where one of them said, “No is a full sentence.” And honestly? That’s been my favorite quote ever since.

It’s simple. It’s respectful. And it’s a reminder that boundaries don’t always need backstories. 💬❌

Yes. My wife's best friend is the worst when it comes to asking "why" when I say I don't want to do something. I always answer, "I don't want to. That is reason enough."
