What was socially acceptable when you we're young, but now it's not.

I grew up in an era when smoking was ubiquitous and socially acceptable, with cigarettes prominently featured in advertisements, movies, and even hospitals. I even remember crowded restaurants filled with smoke and airplanes designated "smoking" and "non-smoking" sections near the end of the full on "No Smoking Everywhere" ban took effect

I miss being able to walk through a mall while enjoying a cigarette in peace...

It was also more common to beat your children and throw them across the room back then, too.

And we had a public paddling pool that we could go paddle in on hot days.

Racism still seems to be the done thing around here, though... that hasn't changed.
