It really does not matter what you do for someone.

When you start relying more on yourself you will care less about those everytime dollars. You are the only one that you can count on once you become an adult. Even if you get married. That person just lessons your burdens, they are supposed to anyway, but in the end, its just you.

Finding loyal people has become increasingly difficult. You can go above and beyond to help someone these days and they will turn their back on you as soon as you are no longer useful to them.

people disappoint all the time. it builds resilience though, and hopefully teaches people about boundaries and expectations

Just be grateful you found this out while you are still young.
