Why do some people give you dirty looks even if you did nothing to them?

Went back to my hometown for a festival with friends and some chick I went to high school with that I never talked to and haven't seen in years gave me the dirtiest look ever. I barely even know her name and don't remember saying a single word to her ever. It was not just a funny look on her face either, it was an unmistakable bitchy glare.

This is not the only time this has happened, though it doesn't happen often. It's almost always another female. 🙄

WTF is the deal with this?

Women are like that. You could never say a word to them or interact with them in any way and they already decided they hate you because of something somebody told them about you.

I recently had a coworker from a different department try to ruin my job because of something another coworker told her.

Women can just be like that.

Nailed it

I am so glad I was not born female. I don't think I could do all the female drama. If an old classmate gave me a dirty look I would be oblivious to it.

It happens me a lot .
See people personalize it ( seen as a threat)
At times and at times some people can have there own stuff going on instead of thinking it's to do with you .
Don't personalize it cause when you personalize it you go straight up in to your head .
Your blind then and then you miss the beauty of life cause you fall into a self pity mode .
That's what happens in my case but it's happening to me years upon years so it don't effect me as much no more .

Smile and say hello. It drives them bonkers.

Some feel they were inferior to a person during the school years, now that person has again invaded their world!

@Quimliqer The thing that makes me scratch my head is that I was a chunky dork in high school and she was always popular and preppy. I'm not sure why she'd feel inferior to me, but I guess stranger things have happened! 🤣

Or perhaps she just has a terrible case of RBF, I can’t tell you how many time I have been accused of this when not even realizing it.

@HumanEarth I was pretty caught off guard, to be honest. 🤣 I haven't seen her in over a decade and don't remember ever even speaking to her, just barely knowing of her existence at all, so I was really confused as to what her problem was.

It doesn't surprise me too much that men go through it, but are more verbal about it. It seems like there are a lot more mind games with women that leave you wondering WTH the deal is.

@Lostpoet That is sad if that is true. I know I went through a bullying phase in middle school that almost left me feeling that way and it was a really awful feeling.
