Diversity in Dawlish

This week I had a pleasant late summer excursion to the seaside resort of Dawlish, on the south coast of Devon. In Dawlish Water (a park that bisects the town centre) there is a lovely collection of waterfowl, including 15 breeds of ducks from across the world, five breeds of geese, and the famous Dawlish black swans. Many of the ducks live in a single enclosure and, in spite of originating from three different continents and being all different shapes, sizes, and colours, seemed to rub along quite nicely (if a little noisily).

I went there in August. It was a pleasant day out. Had lunch in the Dawlish United Reformed Church roughly opposite the duck enclosure I think.
Cheap, good, and with musical accompaniment.

@ninalanyon I had a business trip cut short. Reacquainted myself with Dawlish, Teignmouth, and Newton Abbot by rail . . in the sun and 22C 🌞😎

My parents got us into the habit of going to Dawlish Warren every summer for our holidays, I think it was Lee Cliff Park or something we stayed at.
