How Couples Met

[media=https://youtu.be/ArlY8EKc8Vw?t=2]
A two-minute video timeline comparing the different ways couples met, from 1930 to 2024.

The most interesting part to me is the rapid rise of couples meeting online in the 21st century. That’s not too surprising, but the percentage of couples meeting this way today is astounding, nonetheless.

The creator of the video cites research from Stanford University and national surveys as the main sources of data.

Also, the music used in the video (“Funky Disco”) is pretty good.

@LadyGrace That was my reaction too.
@Rutterman but I miss sitting out on the porch and visiting with neighbors like the old times. Those were precious times and now no one does it, only maybe a few that live up in the mountains or something.
