I personally believe transgender men are taking rights away from women

Rights as in our rights to have women sports, women bathrooms, little known fact, we already have a class of sports that totally accepts anyone, it's been falsely identified as the " men's League " but in all reality it's the world's league, if I was skilled enough in chess I could go for the world title against Magnus Carlson, why don't they just stick to where the true equality is? Instead of going to the women's league and breaking all the world records that true born women have strived their whole lives to accomplish

So a transgender man is someone who used to be a woman right? the terminology be getting me confused sometimes ngl.

So are you saying that someone who used to be a woman is taking rights away from women? I had no idea that was going on.
helsbels · 31-35, F
@TurtlePink I think she means 'trans identifying men', so a man who is entering women's sport under a transgender identity. A 'transwoman'.

I'm going to see myself out of the post because otherwise it just raises my blood pressure 🤣
My position is we have sex segregation in sport. Humans can't change sex. And a gender identity isn't the same/a substitute and shouldn't confer sex based rights 🤷‍♀️ But apparently that's controversial and bigoted.

@helsbels Honestly I just be getting confused I wish people would just say MtoF or FtoM instead of anything else So that I don’t have to stop and use my brain for a minute to figure it out lol

@NativePortlander1970 I see nothing wrong with MtoF wanting to use womens bathrooms. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re going to touch somebody. it’s just that it’s easy for someone else to dress up as a woman now who actually isn’t a woman nor part of the LGBTQ just so that they can be in the same room as women. And then it’s not fair how the trans people get blamed for it when this whole time it could’ve been a straight male who wanted to abuse the opportunity. That is not a fault on the LGBTQ community but of sick men in general. it’s a men problem not a transgender problem. I’m not saying trans people can’t do nasty stuff like that but a vast amount of predators have been straight men. So tell me what is going on in the straight community that is making men do stuff like that constantly?
@TurtlePink I'm dysphoric myself, I have zero issues with legitimate Trans just trying to just luve and let live, the problem I have are with the pretenders.
helsbels · 31-35, F
@TurtlePink At least you get the point that I try and make! The problem is, if you allow that a woman is anyone who identifies as one, does it make it easier, or harder for predators? Transperson X may have zero bad intentions but if you believe for a minute that someone with bad intentions won't abuse it, you're not thinking. Every time the inevitable happens, people say 'but you can't blame that on trans, it was a straight man pretending'. It may be blunt to say so, but there is no way to tell a 'real' transwoman from a man pretending. There's no easy answer but at the moment, even asking questions or pointing out objections gets shouted down.

@helsbels There is actually a very simple way to determine legitimacy from the pretenders, just observe their general attitudes, are they just casually walking through life and trying to keep anonymous, OR are they making it a HUGE DEAL what they are doing.
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
@helsbels It’s probably wrong for me to speak on this since I’m not part of the trans community but I do believe that there needs to be rules and regulations. There needs to be proof that somebody is actually a trans woman and isnt some man from the street who dressed up.

if they go through the surgeries and then after like at least two years they should be able to compete in the women’s sports. But honestly if you wake up one day and be like “I wanna be a woman today, let’s go join the women’s swimming team because I can now” I feel like that mentality should not be allowed. I feel like you need to of made the switch for at least two years or so beforehand.

When it comes to using bathrooms I feel like it’s not really fair to apply those rules. Everyone in general just needs to get in and get out of the restroom and just be nice in there to everybody you see in there . I don’t condone making someone feel uncomfortable just because they are actually trans. If you’re trans phobic and you see a trans person in the restroom please do not beat them up because I hope to God you get charged with a hate crime and go to prison for a long time due to their being actual trans people out there who feel like they are of the different gender and they can’t help it that they feel that way and so please respect them. Also just simply don’t use the public restrooms if you’re trans phobic

@helsbels @TurtlePink

There might be a very few men who pretend to be trans just to creep in women's restrooms but I seriously doubt a typical man is going to go through the trouble of "Dressing up" just to do that. Most men would not know where to begin when it comes to presenting as a woman. Unless they are truly MTF TG.

Besides, most people say they do not like public restrooms. Well, trans people, regardless of their ability to pass, REALLY do not like public restrooms.

Especially MTF who use the women room because women tend to want to talk or be nosy in the restroom. I had a female friend once who was in a stall and some older woman was trying to peek through the cracks to make sure "It wasn't really a man" EVEN THOUGH my friend was unmistakably female.

How could you tell if someone is truly TG or not? Typically the true ones make an effort to look good, even if you can tell their birth gender.

The best answer for all - seek single occupancy restrooms.
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
@Punches I don’t care to pay attention to tell if someone is actually transgender or not if I see them. But when it comes to sports, there needs to be rules and regulations. I believe that in order to play in the women’s sports you need to go get surgery to prove that you’re actually trans. And you need to wait at least two years after your surgery before you can enroll in the sport
Punches · 46-50, F
@TurtlePink I am not sure what procedures they take in sports to ensure things,

Like I told someone else, the isolated incidents were likely orchestrated to create media controversy.
I have a hard time believing a MTF athlete could just walk in and say, "Yeah I want to compete against the women's leagues" and just get accepted without question.
So yeah something else was going on.
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
@Punches I don’t think they should change the restrooms to where there’s only a single occupant, But to keep the multiple stall restrooms so that more people can continue to use the restroom at a time. That should never ever change because imagine being at the mall and having to take a sh!t real bad but you have to wait in line. having multiple single occupant restrooms just takes up too much space and too much money. Maybe keep the multiple stalls and then have a room with a toilet and a sink for n all genders. Because like you said, Most trans people don’t even like using public restroom so they should have their own single bathroom where they can feel safe in

@Punches I think a lot of times they don’t want to feel like they were discriminating against somebody so they just allow anyone to join the team now because they’re afraid of being canceled which I understand that. I was actually kind of afraid to suggest having rules and regulations on this matter because I was afraid that I would be called a trans phobic person for just wanting there to be some form of security.
Punches · 46-50, F
@TurtlePink It's like everyone wants to "Cancel" everyone else these days.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding trans and to be honest, I doubt the trans community itself is the cause.
TurtlePink · 22-25, F
@Punches I agree.
Piffy · 22-25, F
@TurtlePink I don't support their delusions, a transgender man was born a man and will die a man, a transgender woman was born a woman and will die a woman
