What are some of the double standards that you find annoying?
I have a few, but it's not in order:
Preferences: When a woman has a preference like a guy that must be 6' tall, have a 6 pack, have a 6-figure income, must own a home, and own a car, it's just her preference. The moment a man has preferences like a woman that must be feminine, fit, knows how to cook, and not be a single mom, he's classified as a guy who has too many standards and somehow it's demonizing. It's only a problem if a man does it. Trust me, I've experienced the backlash...
9-to-5 jobs: When a woman has these jobs, like McDonald's, she's strong and independent, getting that bag. But when a man has the same job, he's labeled as either poor, broke, or "can't even afford dating any woman". Basically shaming men...
Age difference: When an older woman, like in her 40's, dates a guy in his 20's, she's seen as a cougar and just a woman preferring young men. The moment an older man in his 40's date a woman in her 20's, he's labeled as a creep, a pedo, and a guy who can't handle or pull off a woman his age. It's a problem if men prefer younger women nowadays... I thought it's a preference? 🤔
Cheating: If a woman cheats, she's either not happy, "finding herself", or just bored and it's his fault. Other women support her. The moment a man cheats, he's a pig, very disrespectful, and.... It's still his fault. Most people will shame him. Cheating is wrong, but apparently it's only wrong if he does it, whether she cheats first or him...
Body enhancements: There's a video on Reddit a while back that I've seen. A guy interviewed 2 women about body enhancements to look good. The 2 women say that men who uses steroids are not real men, but they'll accept breast implants and BBL on a woman and say, "My body, my choice!" I was thinking, "Wait a sec. You're saying that using steroids as a man makes him less of a man. Would it be the same thing that breats implants and others makes you less of a woman?" It's a problem if guys go through surgery to make them better, but TOTALLY acceptable if women enhance their bodies...
Assaulting physically and verbally: When women insults men for sometimes no reason, they typically get away with it and fingers will point towards men. The moment men assault women, even if he was defending himself, he'd be in jail or worse. And what's crazy is that our society will side with women who started a fight first, telling that he did it WITHOUT evidence. But men MUST have evidence to prove his innocence because many of us get falsely accused.
Homelessness: When women are homeless, they often get the best help, especially going to shelters with women and children (I know the experience). But men that are homeless, whether they were divorced from their ex-wives, evicted from landlords, or even being a veteran, we'd be just out in the streets with nowhere to go. We're essentially garbage out in public, not having any form of care unless a miracle happens. Men are more likely to end up homeless, as many statistics show.
I get it's a long read, but it's what I've heard and seen the most all over the internet and in real life.
