What are some of the double standards that you find annoying?

I have a few, but it's not in order:

Preferences: When a woman has a preference like a guy that must be 6' tall, have a 6 pack, have a 6-figure income, must own a home, and own a car, it's just her preference. The moment a man has preferences like a woman that must be feminine, fit, knows how to cook, and not be a single mom, he's classified as a guy who has too many standards and somehow it's demonizing. It's only a problem if a man does it. Trust me, I've experienced the backlash...

9-to-5 jobs: When a woman has these jobs, like McDonald's, she's strong and independent, getting that bag. But when a man has the same job, he's labeled as either poor, broke, or "can't even afford dating any woman". Basically shaming men...

Age difference: When an older woman, like in her 40's, dates a guy in his 20's, she's seen as a cougar and just a woman preferring young men. The moment an older man in his 40's date a woman in her 20's, he's labeled as a creep, a pedo, and a guy who can't handle or pull off a woman his age. It's a problem if men prefer younger women nowadays... I thought it's a preference? 🤔

Cheating: If a woman cheats, she's either not happy, "finding herself", or just bored and it's his fault. Other women support her. The moment a man cheats, he's a pig, very disrespectful, and.... It's still his fault. Most people will shame him. Cheating is wrong, but apparently it's only wrong if he does it, whether she cheats first or him...

Body enhancements: There's a video on Reddit a while back that I've seen. A guy interviewed 2 women about body enhancements to look good. The 2 women say that men who uses steroids are not real men, but they'll accept breast implants and BBL on a woman and say, "My body, my choice!" I was thinking, "Wait a sec. You're saying that using steroids as a man makes him less of a man. Would it be the same thing that breats implants and others makes you less of a woman?" It's a problem if guys go through surgery to make them better, but TOTALLY acceptable if women enhance their bodies...

Assaulting physically and verbally: When women insults men for sometimes no reason, they typically get away with it and fingers will point towards men. The moment men assault women, even if he was defending himself, he'd be in jail or worse. And what's crazy is that our society will side with women who started a fight first, telling that he did it WITHOUT evidence. But men MUST have evidence to prove his innocence because many of us get falsely accused.

Homelessness: When women are homeless, they often get the best help, especially going to shelters with women and children (I know the experience). But men that are homeless, whether they were divorced from their ex-wives, evicted from landlords, or even being a veteran, we'd be just out in the streets with nowhere to go. We're essentially garbage out in public, not having any form of care unless a miracle happens. Men are more likely to end up homeless, as many statistics show.

I get it's a long read, but it's what I've heard and seen the most all over the internet and in real life.

As a woman,I am sorry men have to go through this.I personally know a guy whose life was spoiled because of false allegation(you know what kind of allegation it will be) by a girl out of a petty argument they got into regarding drying of clothes. He was labelled a creep, molester and what not by the people around us.He was fired from his job,his family was left alone by the public and no woman cared to date him.By the time he was proved innocent,7 years passed by and by god's grace he somehow got a good and understanding wife now.You know what happened to that girl who accused him?She was made to apologise in court and submit a written apology to the same and a copy of it was sent to him plus she was asked to pay some fine. That's it.What a snake she must be?She didn't even seem to regret her actions.I am sure karma will hit back at her.Because of certain women who want both equality and female previliges, many men suffer a lot.
I really respect you guys for the hardwork you put on for both your families and support. The change will happen for sure sooner or later.Let's hope.

@SW-User I honestly do thank you for your support. Not a lot of men receive credit, and we're used to it.

It's crazy how that woman ruin him almost entirely over clothing. CLOTHING. How can she do something like that? She was not only a snake, but a devil in disguise. This is why us men must be careful with women like that nowadays, you'll never know what will happen until it's too late. Thanks to technological advancements, like our phones, we can record to put abusive women behind bars.

And I could say that feminism could be why many women like her want equality, but I figured that they want it ONLY when it benefits them. This means we hardly have any benefits, and it existed since I believe since the 3rd wave?

Thanks to technological advancements, like our phones, we can record to put abusive women behind bars.
Those advancements allow one to gather the evidence but the police will still be very reluctant to take any action agaist female abusers. They're more likely to arrest and persecute the man gathering the evidence for "harassment" or some other, similar, trumped up charge. Even if, by some fluke, the woman is prosecute and convicted, the "female sentencing discount" will come into play so she'll get a pathetically lenient sentence.

@NortiusMaximus Us men are trapped in our corrupted system, no matter how much good we do. God bless America. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Not really a double standard but up until very recently if a person went to prison here in the UK and then later on was released as it was found he was innocent then in many cases he had to pay money for the time he spent in prison.
Also in many cases of wrongful imprisonment the later freed person gets no compensation.

To expand on the assault comment - in domestic violence incidents between men and women, police usually just tell men victims to leave and the woman will leave on their own, while if the woman is the victim, the man is arrested.
xSiFiGamer2016x · 26-30, M
@NortiusMaximus I was thinking of something similar. Even if our names are cleared, the damage is already done and our reputation is scarred for the rest of our days. "Guilty until proven innocent", but society still deems us as guilty. And any "wrong" move will give us tickets to hell, or basically prison.
@xSiFiGamer2016x It's more a case of "Guilty even when proven innocent." Some people (misandrists) still claim Amber Heard was a victim of Johnny Depp.
xSiFiGamer2016x · 26-30, M
@NortiusMaximus So, they didn't even bother believing in real proof that SHE was the problem? I even saw some of the live streams and I knew that she was guilty. But noooo, Johnny Depp still remains a guilty one in some people's eyes.

💯

All cold facts and truth.

People tend to be more lenient towards the fairer sex.

Women can't do, physically, what men can do.

Just like men can't do what women can do physically.

I understand wanting it to be equal, but there will always be that leeway.

@Umile If only I can handshake you. 👌

The double standards I find most annoying are the ones that exist inside my head; the ones that make me react to some things emotionally, with the disgust, disapproval or joy that I'm encultured to experience, although I know intellectually that there's no rational justification for those feelings.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
I think the only solution is to distance yourself from all women and seek solace in the company of men!
xSiFiGamer2016x · 26-30, M
@SunshineGirl It wouldn't be a bad idea. Not saying all women are like this, but a lot can be.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Men like what they SEE . Women like what they HEAR.
Thats why women will always wear makeup , and men will always lie.
Double standard on deception for sure .
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@ffony no comment . Lol

@AthrillatheHunt Oh, Are you one of 'them?' (No offence; you do say you're only here for fun :).
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@ffony nah I’m straight bro.

@Underconstruction As much as I don't want to admit, it is what it is. 🤷🏾‍♂️
How the dems get away with everything while they treat conservatives horribly, the media ignores May 29, 2020, while shoving January 6 down everyone's throat, ignoring all the antifa violence and how they shut down bridges and roads and protested in front of Supreme Court Justices' homes.

@XxEllaxRawrxX I'm with you 100% on this. I do also share the same energy if people are trying to be toxic, and know when to defend myself. So many double standards around, but it's the world we live in. And there's no end to it.
XxEllaxRawrxX · 13-15
@xSiFiGamer2016x Honestly haha, I might be a softie but no one's allowed hurt my friends or family.

Ah yes, what a lovely world we live in XD
