Should there be an opt in and an opt out, of modern society?

like no thank you i'll be like a farmer in the olden days! not like the amish though!

You can always pack your bags and leave. That's an option you always have, no matter what.

But opting out of society is opting out with all its consequences. And often doesn't mean a romantic farmer's life. It's a tradeoff.
