@SW-User Wow, that was touching. You did the right thing. A good friend hitting the skids is impossible to turn away. He does have good character because he left instead of leaning on you.
How did you know he was homeless? Did he come to you for help and that was how you knew?

@sree251 Yes I spotted him in an airport, we hung out in high school. We reflected on old times over coffee. He still held good conversation
@SW-User In that conversation at the airport he told you he was homeless? Why would a homeless guy be in an airport? Pardon me for being curious (i.e. skeptical about your friend). The last place to meet a homeless guy is in the arrival/departure lounge of an airport.

@sree251 He was in the concourse, near the baggage claim area. it is not uncommon to see that here in California. Rent is too high and they become homeless due to no fault of their own
@SW-User Ok, I have read about that homeless situation in California. Even those who have jobs live in their cars. I guess your friend is not like those down and out homeless people at traffic lights asking for money.
