When cards became a thing, that was supposed to be the push to everything going cashless. I'm not sure if it's the same with all stores, but there is a processing fee everytime a card is used. Which is stupid. By having that processing fee to pay with a debit/credit card, we will never be cashless.
There's a bowling alley I go to, on the counter it says, minimum purchase of $10 to use card. At the store I go to, to get the live mouse for the snake, it's a $5.00 minimum purchase to use your card. All because of some dumb processing fee. So I have to use cash at that store, and at the bowling alley. If the bank or whoever it is, got rid of that fee, I wouldn't need cash, therefore I think it would bring us closer to not using cash as much.
The only other time I really needed cash, was at the carnival. Every food vendor there was cash only. They had an ATM set up, but charged $2.50 to use it.
