Your thoughts on this?

This is something worth reminding. Not just women to protect, we need everybody for each other.

I would say the thought that men need to lead or protect opens up the door for possible abuse.

@Gloomy I can see that, but not all men do this.
Gloomy · F
@xSiFiGamer2016x Yes but expecting men to provide is unhealthy for example and couples should protect each other and then there is the question protection from what/whom?
xSiFiGamer2016x · 22-25, M
@Gloomy I guess no matter how often we need protection, there's always something bigger. And that something we can't outrun is death.
Woman provide too. Just in a different way than men do. @Gloomy

@Spoiledbrat people do excell and provide in different areas. It's not a gendered thing.
@Gloomy It doesn't have to be. In the past woman stayed home and did domestic chores and raised the kids. I was just saying stay at home wives do contribute. I know a few who work really hard at home. Not everyone can afford it these days.

Not by free choice. Of course stay at home wives contribute as do stay at home dads
@Gloomy I don't have anything against stay at home dads. And not every woman was unhappy staying home. I know plenty that still do and prefer it and if they wanted they could get a job. One person I know watches everyone's kids and gets paid for it and prefers it.

@Spoiledbrat It's all about choice and not letting societal norms dictate life
@Gloomy I was just replying to your comment about how when woman don't contribute or work it's dangerous and I was saying they do work at home. Taking care of a home and family is not easy. It's work and not always glamorous. I didn't say anything against or for male norms.

@Spoiledbrat Still if women choose to be homemakers they should always have a plan to get out since it does make them vulnerable.
@Gloomy That's why there is marriage. The law protects a married woman. That's why a lot of men don't want to get married. I think that's crap.

@Spoiledbrat I even asked people on here before about marriage. They said it's best not to get married in America. And there are some truths about how divorce favors women. A study shows that 70-80% of divorces are from women and that alimony almost wins.... except Florida.
