You have three patients in dire need of an organ transplant. Unfortunately only one organ is available. Here are your three patients:

One 10 year old child
One 24 year old person
One 65 year old person

All will die if they do not receive the organ transplant. What will you do?
If it’s a liver and they are all a match, they can all be saved.

Depends on some factors.. firstly one who is most wealthy and wishes to give it all for the other two members and donor's benefit of family and society.. and who can benefit the world by living.. and then who wants to live and has some commitment to fulfill.. ( in the case of 10 year old it would be the parents need for the child and in the case of 65 year old his children)..

And also who will live the maximum so the transplant is not just for short term gain.

Decision after weighing all factors.

Almost Every part of my being says the child… but what if that child is going to grow into a total sociopath

I would want to know the background of each person/speak to people who know

So I guess random selection (just like life/death)

{@theunderdogofny] suppose irrespective you would automatically say the ten year old i suppose to of the three whose clinical need of this organ is more urgent, heartbreaking fdecision to have too make especially if the ten year old is not the one
There is no room for personal preferences here.

Hospitals would have procedures for this scenario already, I would follow the process.

But personally I wouldn't want the 65 year old to get it.

Are they all compatible with the organ? What symptoms and what are the chances of survival and longevity of life after?
It doesn’t work that way. It comes down to the order they went on the list down to the second.

give it to the one with the best chance of it being accepted by the host body

Who has the greatest chance of not rejecting the organ and surviving the surgery.

Who’s the organ coming from, how old… that probably would be my match…
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
In this state that organ would go to a rich person or to a celebrity.

I give it to the 65 year old.

The other two get pianos.
